Description

Remember Cousteau’s Calypso? This Nikonos II (1968) is the improved version of the Nikonos I (1963), which Jacques Cousteau used for his underwater explorations. It was a very popular camera at the time because of its compact size, excellent optics, and easiness of use.

The camera (SN 973741) listed here in is very good condition with normal scuff marks; numbers have been lightly engraved by the previous owner in the back of the camera (see pictures) but it’s very discreet. The rubberized body cover is still very sturdy and in very good condition. The dials move smoothly and the lens #272563  has no scratches and is crystal clear.
Whether you are a Cousteau or Nikon’s fan, this is definitely a piece of the past to own!
